ART POST
yeah i know, i didn't think it would ever happen again either. but with new fandoms come new inspiration.

be gentle. it's been a while for me. the quote it's based on is from The Happy Return:

Bush was at the gangway to receive him, with all the pomp and ceremony due to a Captain arriving on board.

Hornblower saw, by the lantern light, the relief in Bush's honest face. He glanced round the decks; one watch, wrapped in blankets, was lying on the bare boards of the deck, while the other squatted by the guns ready for action. Bush had very properly maintained all precautions while thus at anchor in a presumably hostile port.

nope, cs3 edition. i have a 21-inch wacom, but i don't like using it. that's all mouse in that painting. i really like sketching onto paper first... it gives the drawing an organic feeling that i can't duplicate on the computer.

Hmm, I've got a 15" wacom ... I'm still not used to it. I have trouble tidying the lines after I've sketched, but that could just be the program I'm using. Do you tidy in PS? If I had a scanner I'd do the exact same thing as you - sketch on paper then play i PS ...

Given what I've got available, I'm doing my utmost to learn to wrangle the tablet.

I love this. I love his face. I love that his nose is slightly red. I love his huge honest blue eyes. I love the shading on his browbones. I love that you picked out one of the very best quotes from the entire canon.

I second BH. I love you.

HH is a small fandom even at the best of times. Unfortunately. Or maybe that's a good thing.

OMG! I loves! And the quote...out of context it can be considered subtexual...

Sadly I should read the books...when I have the time!

thankyou :D honey, IN context the quote is subtextual. you REALLY need to read the books.

I know, god I know! But my library only stocks the very, very last book of HH his dimise and the like or the book detail how and why he dies. And frankly I don't want to kill off Horatio before I even know him.

So there truly is subtext in these books...oh...I'm intriged, I really am...

*Headdesk* If only I had the money!! Oh well, I'll just have to suck it up and fill out the application for interlibarary loan.

I think they accept subtexual artwork there, they also have a slashy RP for OC. It's all freind's locked, but if your interested. You can join anytime.
